Fat Roland's Electric Shorts, 1st August 2013

You are welcome, dear blogsniffer, to come to my first ever solo-organised literature night in Manchester. This also doubles as my birthday celebration (early because of the Edinburgh Fringe), so if you're ever going to see me do something live, this is it...

Fat Roland’s Electric Shorts
Thursday, August 1st, 2013, 7pm
International Anthony Burgess Foundation, Cambridge Street, Manchester
Free, no need to book. Includes free booze.

Writer and performer Fat Roland presents a literary reading with a twist: authors are challenged to use Microsoft Powerpoint to tell their tales.

Expect visual humour and pathos and literariness from some amazing local talents, including:

- David Gaffney;
- Valerie O’Riordan.
- Chris Killen;
- Anneliese Mackintosh;
- Mark Powell
- Nicola Mostyn
- Lee Moore
- Fat Roland, of course
(New: Socrates Adams is no longer performing, but don't fear: his spirit will pervade the room like sweet, sweet perfume.)

Also includes an Edinburgh Fringe preview from Fat Roland, whom you may know as one fifth of the Flashtag writing collective, as Blackwell’s bookshop compere, or as the author of Hey Hey Hey Hey Hey Hey Hey Hey And Other Short Fiction.

Wine reception and other treats. Free (no booking required), all welcome.
